Nature in Bloom is a series of photographs charged up by natural forces, evoking
sensations of inner reflection. Full, fleshy, organic explosions of emotion are created with the use of texture, colour and form in macro photography.

Darlene Schopman is an artist with a background in architecture and design.
Inspired by nature, she explores the close relationships between human life and
plant life.
Her approach is simple and direct. By not using a tripod or any computer manipulation, she is able to walk freely through nature and capture the sacred spaces around her. Darlene resides in Stave Falls, Mission, BC.
